
ESPN NFL 2K5 Roster Update Tutorial for Original Xbox:
How to copy rosters from Xbox memory card to Xbox hard disk:
- Power on Xbox without game
- Insert controller into original Xbox
- Insert memory device into controller port #2.
- Highlight “Memory” from the main menu and press A
- Highlight the memory device shown (if the device is in controller port 4 you will see it in one of the corners)
- Scroll down to highlight ESPN NFL 2K5 icon
- Press (right) -> on the controller
- Highlight one of the game save icons on on the right, press A on the controller and “Copy”
- Copy to Xbox Hard disk (the image is of the Xbox console)
- Do this for each and every single game save
- Once the rosters are copied to the original Xbox hard disk they can be copied over to memory cards and vice versa.

The Xbox USB flash drive and adapter come together. One end plugs in the Xbox USB flash drive, the other end goes directly into the Xbox like a controller. [Photo above]

Plug the Xbox controller into controller port #1 and the Xbox USB flash drive adapter into controller port #2. Nothing else should be plugged in. [Photo above]

Select MEMORY from the original Xbox menu. [Photo above]

Select controller port 2 on the left by using the directional pad <-- on the Xbox controller [Photo above]

Here you will see the NFL 2K5 roster game saves. Select one at a time by using the directional pad on the Xbox controller and pressing to the right -->. Press "A" to select. [Photo above]

Select COPY by pressing "A" on the controller. You will have to copy each NFL 2K5 game save to the Xbox hard disk. [Photo above]


The Xbox will ask you where your are to "COPY TO". Make sure there are no other memory cards connected and the Xbox will automatically choose "XBOX HARD DISK". Once the Xbox hard disk is selected, press "A" on the controller. [Photo above]

You will return to the screen, press "B" to go back because the game save has already been copied. If you attempt to copy again, it will ask you if you want to overwrite it, which means if you want to copy it again and replace the first copy. You will have to copy each NFL 2K5 game save to the Xbox hard disk.[Photo above]

Select OPTIONS. [Photo above]

Select LOAD/SAVE. [Photo above]

Select LOAD. [Photo above]

Select "YES". [Photo above]

The top should say "Xbox Hard Disk". Here you see all the NFL 2K5 roster game saves. With the Xbox controller you can scroll down to see all the game saves (depending on your order). [Photo above]

Choose one file at a time to load. Select "OK". [Photo above]

You can go back into the NFL 2K5 menu and view the rosters via FEATURES < ROSTER MANAGEMENT. Here you will see the rosters.

When you press "B" to go back to the main menu, the game will ask "Do you wish to save your roster now?". Select "No", then you can go play the game, the rosters will still be loaded. [Photo above]
****If you select "Yes" then it will make you save the roster to the Xbox hard disk and give it a new name. The simplest thing to do is select "No"
