Neo-Geo CD Game Discs Are Playable on the Xbox Original

Today we bring to attention the Neo-Geo CD. Available in 1994 the Neo-Geo CD was a video game consoles manufactured by SNK. The Neo-Geo CD is the CD equivalent version of the cartridge based Neo-Geo console released in 1991. The Neo-Geo CD was made to reduce manufacturing costs. The Neo-Geo CD's library was mainly ports of AES and MVS titles but also had an array of exclusives. The Neo-Geo CD was discontinue in 1997, 97 CD games were released and eight of them were CD exclusive.

As many of you know, an original Xbox with a softmod installed is capable of running emulators for retro game consoles. The most popular of these are the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis emulators. The NeoCD/SDLx and NeoGenesis emulators are capable of playing original Neo-Geo CD game disc. NeoGenesis is also capable of playing SEGA CD game discs from the Xbox disc drive.
