If you live in the continent of Europe, parts of South America, Africa or Asia you live in a PAL region. If you live in a PAL region then the original Xbox's sold in that region are PAL Xbox's. Each original Xbox has high definition (HD) capabilities but for whatever reason, the PAL region original Xbox's have this HD feature locked.
To unlock this feature first the original Xbox must be modded or soft-modded then a simple and free program like Enigmah can be installed to unlock the high definition features on PAL original Xbox's.
This is done by converting the PAL Xbox into a NTSC (North American) region Xbox. This unlocked the high definition (HD) features and allows you to enable HD functionality on all accessible HD Xbox games.
